Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer Camp Nurses

Camp Nurses volunteer for one camp week (Sunday at 3:00pm-Friday at 11:00am). During this week they will stay at the camp in the program staff house. Their responsibilities will include medication distribution, administering first aid, and advising the camp director on medical issues as needed.

To apply- 1) Call and see which weeks we still need a camp nurse. We will then send you the background check form.

2) Send Camp Piankatank confirmation of your nursing certification and the background check form.

3) Once we receive your background check form and proof of nursing certification we will then send you the camp nurse information packet as confirmation that you are our camp nurse for the week you requested.

Unfortunately we will not have space for these volunteers to stay overnight, but we would greatly appreciate your help.

Our maintenance department depends on workgroups for all kinds of projects.
