Registration Guidelines

Campers: Campers need not be Baptist or a member of a church in order to attend Camp Piankatank . Campers will be placed in a cabin with children around their same age.

Scholarships: Scholarships for a part or all of a camper's fees are available. Please contact the camp office at 804-776-9552 for an application or email niki.gourley@camppiankatank.org. All applications are due April 1, 2009. Recipients will be notified by April 15,2009. We can also work with parents on payment plans as needed. For summer 2009 we suggest applying early for scholarship assistance as well.

If God has richly blessed you and you would like to help another child come to camp, you can sponsor a child. To sponsor a camper in need please contact Niki at niki.gourley@camppiankatank.org. Your gifts are tax deductible, and 100% goes towards helping a child come to camp.

 

Cabin Buddy Request: Up to four (4) children from the same group can request to be placed in the same cabin. We do our best to honor such requests. Groups with more than four children might be split up with at least one other person from their group.

 

Father/Son Weekend Counselors: All groups providing counselors for the Father/Son weekends must ensure that the counselor be at least 19 years of age, a background check on such individuals should also be taken by your church or sponsoring group.

Cancellation Policy: All cancellations must reach Camp Piankatank three (3) weeks prior to the scheduled arrival date in order to receive a refund of the camp fee. After the cut-off date, refunds of the camp fee will only be given in special cases of sickness or death of an immediate family member or major unforeseen circumstance. The $50 Deposit portion of all registrations is ALWAYS non-refundable and non-transferable. Refunds will be issued within 15 days of the approved request and are non-transferable. Refunds cannot be given in cases of homesickness or going home early

 

Registration Confirmation : You will receive confirmation forms via e-mail or mail no later than 14 days after Camp Piankatank has received your registration. Confirmation forms (aka: camper packets) include health history form, camper confidentiality form, packing list, directions to camp, and other helpful information. These forms are also available here. Please bring these forms with you when you arrive for camp, do not mail them.

 

Payment Policy: We prefer that you pay in full when registering your camper, but you do have the following options. All payments must be paid in full by June 1st , 2009.

If registering before June 1st , 2009- Option 1) Pay the deposit and camp fee when returning this form. Options 2) Just send the $50 deposit, which must be included with every registration form. Without the deposit we will not process your registration. The remainder of your balance will be due June 1 st , 2009.

If registering after June 1st , 2009- You must pay in full (including deposit and camp fee) to complete your registration.
